PPT and activity to support the teaching of first aid requirements in industry. I use these to teach BTEC and City & Guilds engineering students at levels 2 and 3. I have tried to make these resources quite generic in order to provide accessibility across a range of subjects. Fire Safety in Engineering. Resource includes a PPT and a worksheet that have been used to teach the City & Guilds Level 3 in Engineering, Unit 301. There are many videos and other resources to support this session on the internet, but as these are subject to copyright I can only use them in the college. Please feel free to cut, copy and paste any part of these resources how ever you see fit.

Booklet that covers a wide range of the specification for the BTEC unit 1 - The Engineered World. All activities are fully answered already - before issuing to students you might want to spend bit of time deleting the answers to produce a student copy. I have done it this way to give you freedom of choice as to the information you leave in the book. Feel free to chop and change any of the activities that you wish to deliver as individual activities.

Resource for engineering or technical drawing. Includes large (124 slide) PPT file with lots of activities and information, and worksheets that follow some of the presentations activities. When I use this resource I hide the slides that I don’t need and only use the parts that I want to use for a given lesson. Please feel free to chop, change and cut anything in the resource (you will notice that it isn’t in widescreen but if you copy the slides you want into a newer version of PPT it should still look good)

6 presentations and a document that cover the importance of renewables energy development. Explained as an introductory pack of presentations which are designed to inform a whole range of ages. Ideal for a cover teacher or as an introduction to the world of renewables. Useful in all areas from 8 to 19 (Good for BTEC, City and Guilds, GCSE subjects and more) The solar power document is designed to be used for revision but could be repurposed to create activities and quizzes. All of the presentations are easily editable and could be used for a wide variety of lessons. Feel free to cut, chop and paste anything you like from the slides or document in order to meet your personal needs.

Three powerpoints and a word document that describe the processes of power generation and the methods that are used in order to send it around the country. Useful for a cover teacher or as introductory sessions into the subject of electricity and power. Appropriate for all ages, each set of slides uses descriptions and images to show its respective topic. The Battery Cell Construction document is for information or revision but could be used as a basis for activities if required.
